Don Rush
Don is a native of Junction City.  In fact, in 1857, his grandfather homesteaded the area around Milford Lake which is now known as Rush Creek.  He spent his early years growing up on the family farm where he learned fishing and hunting.  That love for the outdoors led to a high appreciation for wildlife, and peaked his interest in taxidermy.
Sportsman's Taxidermy was started in 1976.  Taxidermy is an art form, and we strive to create the best product for our customer.
Jeff Rush
Jeff  has been working in the shop for over 15 years.  He began at the age of 19, just skinning birds to help out.  Eventually, he mounted his first pheasant, and found he had a real aptitude and the same attention to detail as his dad.

Within a year he entered his first contest at the Kansas Association of Taxidermy where he received three first place awards and became a Master taxidermist.  Over the years, his mounts have won top awards including the WASCO, Ducks Unlimited, and the Richard Schmidt Excellence in Taxidermy award.

He has had the opportunity to mount hawks, owls and other raptors for local high schools and college's through out the state along with the Fish & Game Administration.  In addition, he has done refurbish work for several museums.  Waterfowl are a specialty.   Jeff enjoys the opportunity to do unusual poses and interesting habitat scenes.
